Every scarf enquiry contains one fork in the road, and most buyers don’t know they’re standing at it.

What weaving is

In a jacquard weave, every colour is a thread and the design is the fabric itself.

Both faces come out finished, lettering stays crisp for years, and nothing can peel, crack or fade off — because nothing is ON the cloth.

What printing is

Ink applied to one face of finished fabric — fast, fine-detailed, and one-sided.

Perfect for a silk-feel dress scarf carrying a pattern; wrong for a supporter scarf thrown over a shoulder, blank side out.

The test

Ask where the scarf will be seen from. If the answer includes ‘behind’ or ‘overhead’ — it is a woven job.

If the scarf is worn flat at a front desk, printed earns its keep.

The gradient caveat

Looms build colour in blocks; fine gradients are ink’s trick.

A good weaver redraws a gradient crest into clean colour blocks and shows you the woven proof — usually it looks better than the original.
